Commercials are made for people with a very short attention span. Politics shouldn't be debated the same way. The stakes are higher in national politics than whether you're going to buy Wheaties or Captain Crunch on your next visit to the grocery.<BR/><BR/>We no longer debate like the Founders, who wrestled with one another in long sessions and deep discussion. They helped each other learn and grow. We don't have public discourse like Lincoln did with Douglas in the town square.
